Accessibility Statement

Version 2026-07-14 · Last updated 14 July 2026

Access to a home search should never depend on ability. This statement sets out the standard we aim for, what we do to meet it, where we honestly still fall short, and how to reach us when something is in your way.

1. Our commitment

Rooflane Realty is committed to ensuring that our website is usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Finding a home is one of the most consequential decisions a person makes, and we believe access to that decision should never depend on ability.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, and to meet our obligations under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (Sections 40 and 42) and Indian Standard IS 17802 (Accessibility for ICT products and services).

2. Measures we take

Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks throughout the site, so screen readers can navigate by structure.

A colour palette checked for WCAG AA contrast, including our brand accent, and visible focus indicators for keyboard users.

Full keyboard operability of navigation, forms, dialogs and galleries.

An automated accessibility gate: every deployment is scanned with axe-core against WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA rules — covering our main public pages, project detail pages and the image-gallery dialog — and regressions block the release.

Alt-text authoring rules for all property media, with human review before publication.

Respect for user preferences such as reduced motion.

3. Known limitations

We are honest about where we still fall short. As of July 2026: some older property images carry generic rather than descriptive alternative text while we upgrade our media library; property videos are being fitted with reviewed captions; and some downloadable brochures and floor plans (PDF) are not yet tagged for screen readers.

Third-party components we embed — YouTube players, Google Maps, and the Cloudflare Turnstile verification widget — may not meet the same standard; where they fall short we work to provide accessible alternatives (for example, text summaries of map and chart content).

An independent external accessibility audit is planned; this statement will be updated with its findings.

4. Our approach: source-level accessibility, no overlays

We deliberately do not use accessibility overlay widgets or toolbar plug-ins. We build accessibility into the site itself, which works with — rather than against — the assistive technology and browser settings you already use, such as native zoom, high-contrast modes and your own screen reader.

5. Feedback and contact

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on Rooflane Realty, please tell us. Email [email protected] with the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 2 working days and to fix confirmed barriers as a priority.

You may also use our grievance process (see the Terms of Use) if you prefer a formal route.

6. Assessment status

This site is self-assessed against WCAG 2.2 AA using a combination of automated scanning (axe-core in our deployment pipeline) and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. This statement was prepared with reference to the W3C WAI accessibility statement guidance and will be reviewed at least every six months.
